Understanding Complex Systems

HIDDEN BENEATH ORGANISATIONS, MARKETS, TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETIES ARE STRUCTURES THAT SHAPE BEHAVIOUR AND OUTCOMES

Tillbourne is a research and advisory practice exploring the systems that shape our world and the leverage points that can transform it.

ADVISORY

Alongside the research, Tillbourne advises leadership teams on growth, operating models and organisational effectiveness.

Always with a focus on underlying structure, not just symptoms

Understand how the system actually operates.

Diagnose

Understand how the system actually operates: who makes decisions, on what information, and with what delay.

Reconfigure decision rights, information flows and incentives to produce different outcomes.

Redesign

Understanding Complex Systems

Why Tillbourne?

Alistair Lovegrove spent more than twenty years helping organisations grow, transform and adapt, including serving as a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer in consulting and technology businesses.

Before entering industry, he completed a doctorate in nonlinear physics at Oxford, studying how complex behaviour emerges from hidden structures.

Tillbourne brings those two perspectives together: rigorous systems thinking and practical organisational experience.
